For the next installment on my “An Interview With…” series, I’m featuring a very very special… Group. Look for that on Sunday, March 21st. This interview will reveal a few things about me in their words… ACK, and about these 3 very special people in my life.
I am very excited about this interview, and [...]
Not quite a month ago, I wrote about something going a bit awry with our larger choral group. One of the Basses had decided to pull something rather nasty, which caused quite an uproar. (Things are better now, and we’re working on new material for our June concert.)
When I mentioned that they’d be singing [...]
Something unsavory has been going on in our larger choral group that we sing with lately.
We are a great group of about 55 voices. Strangely enough, out of that nice number, only 5 are tenors (including John-Boy), and out of that 5, only 4 are men (um, also including J-B!). That leaves, of course, [...]
Yesterday I shared a song that we recorded at our first Studio session last week. I have to tell you, that night was one of the best ever. Definitely an item that we could all cross off of our collective bucket list! ShaMoo, Knarf, John-Boy and I sang our hearts out and had a wonderful [...]
Wee One is my quiet, introspective child. Truth be told, she has a shyness issue, and new people and situations scare the bejeebers out of her. We’re working on it, and she has come a long way since last year.
But at home where it’s safe… my quiet child becomes a ROCK STAR!
A [...]
My name is Jenn, and… I’m an addict. It’s pretty serious. Not quite sure what to do.
I mean… the fact that it’s going to be another several days before the group gets together to rehearse again is making me positively weak with frustration!
What’s wrong with me? Surely I have a life, and can fill my [...]
This is what it’s doing here today… *sigh*… but wait!
My back yard… and my group! This is a rehearsal recording (meaning I stuck a cheap recorder in front of one speaker while we were rehearsing) of ShaMoo, myself, and 2 of our closest friends singing “Let it Snow”.
Our first major concert as a quartet [...]
Yeah I’m an idiot – forgot to get a new Mr. Linky for today’s post. Sorry folks! Fixed, and I’ll fill in those of you who submitted today so far.

Note: Our server is having a technical issue – we were down for a bit this morning, and may be down again as a faulty drive is swapped out. Sorry for the disappearing act!

Yeah, I know… I was channeling the Icanhascheezburger cat.
There are things in this life that make me happy.
My gorgeous daughters. My wonderful husband of 18+ years. (Some) family, and of course, my fabulous friends. Certainly all of those things and more make me happy.
But singing… singing fulfills me in ways unlike anything else. [...]
Still an enormous amount of mourning going on over Michael Jackson.
Tribute websites and Facebook groups popping up. Constant news coverage, the likes of which we have not seen since 9/11 (understand here and now that I am not comparing the two events in any way), extolling his virtues. Mourning the loss of a legend. [...]
ShaMoo and I performed in a concert last night with the group we sing with. The music for this concert was everything we hoped it would be, and the audience was very appreciative. I came away euphoric, and bone weary! I love the energy that goes into our performances.
This coming week ShaMoo and I are [...]
