Yep, I’m liking this new look. Put it up a couple days ago, and have kept coming back to look at it over time. I think it suits me just fine. It’s bright, warm, and easy on the eyes. A quick mod to a narcissistic header, and it’s exactly what I wanted.

That header picture of me is a self portrait taken about a week after I had my eye surgery (Feb 22, 2010 – almost a year ago!), and essentially marks the beginning of Jenn 2.0. In it I’m about 40lbs heavier than I am now, and in some ways a completely different person. The original is blurry, but thumbnailed it comes out ok. I’ve messed with it in photoshop and now it represents how I feel about myself, and my sloooooow transformation. Take from that what you will :)

It’s Valentine’s Day! If it’s a good day for you, I hope you have a great one. It is not my favourite day of the year. However, this one represents the 20th anniversary of my engagement to the Hubby, so it deserves to be mentioned. The Hubby, as you know, is not a romantic guy. Great in many other ways, but romance? Notsomuch. Not dwelling on that today though. I got a nice card, and it made me smile. It is what it is. June 1st is more important, frankly – it will be our 20th wedding anniversary, and we’re planning on heading out of town for a week or two. Not sure where yet! Probably a tropical island somewhere. I’d like to go somewhere we haven’t been before, which narrows it down quite a bit – we do like to travel. I’ll let you know when we figure it out!
