Guinea Pig Cake

Written By: Jenn - Jul• 10•09

Doodle Cakes has outdone herself yet again – check out the cake she designed for her daughter’s 12th birthday! (I modified to take her daughter’s name off the board, because that’s how I roll, folks…)

Doodle’s daughter – whom shall henceforth be known as Doodlette – has 2 darling guinea pigs, and is an artist in the making. This cake is a fantastic mom’s homage to her eldest baby girl.

If you’re in the mood to check out some amazing cakes, look her up on Facebook – You can find her here:

P.S. Happy Birthday, Doodlette! Big hugs!

Mea Culpa!

Mea Culpa friends!
Dropped the ball on Haiku day.
Next will be better.

I was so busy this week that I didn’t spend any quality time promoting my Silly Haiku Wednesday yesterday.

These things do not happen by themselves. Everyone knows that a new blogging event needs help getting off the ground, so me not doing the rounds and inviting people to drop by and participate had the expected results – only 2 very groovy Haiku-ers participated! Iva @ Horizontal Yo-yo and Annie of “Then there were two”. I do thank them both very much!

I did not do it justice, and I apologize. I will do better next time, I promise!

Silly Haiku Wednesday

Silly Haiku Wednesday

Welcome to “Silly Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly phenomenon!

The basics:

Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is: Your favourite gadget (um, G-rated please)

Here is my silly submission for this week:

Kitchen Aid Mixer
Strong and beautiful are you
Atop my counter!

We had some great submissions last week – lets double the submissions this time! Tell your friends!

Next week’s theme: Summer Time

To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):
