Total burnout!

Written By: Jenn - Nov• 14•11

Oooooohhhhh I am so burned out. I have absolutely NOTHING to talk to you about, and if it weren’t for my Haiku group, I’d probably drop out of sight for the next while! I haven’t visited anyone, either, and I feel sucky about that too. Do you still love me?!

Oh there I go, getting all angsty on you. Sorry about that.

Went for a massage on Friday, and the RMT (registered massage therapist) kept saying things like “Wow, how are you even able to work?” and “I’ve never seen this level of tension before!”. I knew I was stressed, but he found knots on top of knots and said I was like solid rock. I told him that it was “just my upper back and neck” when he was getting started, and he laughed and said “Wanna bet?” And wow… did he ever work on me. I knew it was going to hurt, but holy smokes! I was unprepared for a solid hour of torture. I had to go out on the weekend and buy epsom salts so I could soak some of the soreness out, but I still feel it 3 days later. It’s ok, I know it’s going to take some time! It took years to build it up, and it will take time to work it out. I have a standing appointment every Thursday morning for the next couple of months, in fact! The hubby ran his hand over my back when we woke up on Saturday and went into convulsive laughter when I shrieked. What a way to wake up, eh?? Big jerk.

Anyway, I have no plans to drop out of sight, and SHW will continue un-interrupted, but I thought I’d let you know where my head is these days. Need to work on myself for a while before I can come up with anything profound to write about!

Awe, so sorry you aren´t feeling well. Stress can be a bummer. I hope you don´t quit to write, just take a break and we´ll be here when you feel like writing again.
    Hugs from Betty
