Just a quick update to our anniversary evening. We had a wonderful meal at a small Italian restaurant called Pasqualino’s – and when I say wonderful, I mean my eyes were rolling back in my head it was so good!
Our waiter, Frank, took a decidedly unspectacular picture of us:
We had a lot of laughs, shared some lovely gifts, and had a wonderful time. All is right with the world…
Wonderful.
Friends are the best!
You know, Susan recently told me that it isn’t the quality of such pics that matter, it is the quality of the captured moment that make them special.
Susan is absolutely correct, Quilly :) And that moment was truly special.
Yay!! mmmm Italian, my favourite!!
The food was out of this world….SO good! What a super fun night; love you guys!!
It is spectacular Jenn. Love how happy you all look.
Happy Anniversary to the both of you! Looks like you had the best of times…
Heehee you silly – this is my GROUP’S anniversary. That gentleman whose arm I have my hand on not my hubby; it’s Knarf! ;)
Happy Anniversary, Jenn! Italian, small, are nice places to meet, eat, and linger to visit. It looks and sounds like you guys did all three. Our favorite small Italian restaurant is Joe’s Pizza Place. Joe shut down in New Jersey and came to Texas. We are happy about that, been happy now for at least five years.
..
Yummy Italian food? You made me hungry. It’s good to know that you had a great time.
Happy Anniversary. And please, make me just a little bit miserable by sharing your menu selections. I’m badly deprived of good Italian food down here in Tex-Mexland.
Oh Doc… it was so awesome I can’t even put it into words! Here’s their menu: http://www.pasqualinocafeandbistro.com/menu.php
Click on “Dinner” (top right) and then scroll to find the Porcini Mushroom Pappardelle… Oh. My. God.
ShaMoo and J-B each had a different chicken dish, but I couldn’t tell you which ones, only that they said they were amazing. Knarf had one of the day’s specials, which was the Elk, done medium-rare. We each tried a bit, and proclaimed it delicious!
