Sensational Haiku Wednesday

Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly event!

The basics:

Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

As of February 3, 2010, Silly Haiku Wednesday became “Sensational Haiku Wednesday”. Please adjust bookmarks and blog posts accordingly!

This week’s theme is: Metamorphosis

My submission for this week:

Such quiet changes
A hint of what once was good
Happiness returns.

Next week’s theme: Generosity

Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List

To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):

Woot to being first (and beating Knarf and J-B) See? It pays to be a night hawk).

    Here goes:

    Have I left my shell?
Or is it still around me?
    Change is always good.

    Sha-Moo first at 12:54 a.m. Very impressive!
Some offerings from the J-B this week:

    You’ve changed me, I say:
New life, new purpose, new me.
    Thanks for that, dear friends.

    Changing for better.
Yes: nothing is cast in stone.
    Who would have thunk it?

    Evolving always.
Learn from your past; change is good.
    Embrace the new me!

    “Metamorphosis”.
    It’s too long a word; I’m stumped.
    Think we should change it!

    Have a great week, everyone.
    J-B

    • Jenn says:

Well, I’m “Amazed” ;) You continue to surprise, J-B! These are awesome!!!

You really think we’ve changed you that much? I don’t think so, you’re still the same wonderful guy you’ve always been.

    • Amanda Moore says:

  6. Knarf says:

Okay so the ShaMoo and J-B beat me but…have they done their 10 questions yet? ;). I must run now to SongSpinners so here is my Haiku.
(one I used before and like it)

    Changes from within
    enlighten damaged spirits
    When minds are open.

    Change? For the better?
May be so or May be no.
    I’d still like to try.

    • Jenn says:

No Knarf, you’re still the only one who has sent me his reply yet ;) It’s going to be one fabulous interview post!! Oops, have I given too much info away?? ;)

Great haiku as always – and our changes have been for the better, naturally! Right??

    • Amanda Moore says:

Knarf, beautiful message in your Haiku I can see why you have used it on more than one occasion.
