Silly Haiku Wednesday

Welcome to “Silly Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly event!

The basics:

Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is: Crunch Time!

My submission for this week:

Wallets now empty
Tree is up, dressed, and twinkling
Here we go again!

Next week’s theme: Aftermath

Feel free to continue challenging your own visitors – we’re having far too much fun not to share!

Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List

To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):

Not at my place — well, the wallet empty part, but I blame unemployment for that. We’ve no tree and no decorations because we are on the edge of a major move, we didn’t get them out. BUT we did just plan a lovely Christmas dinner menu and we will enjoy one another’s company with love.

And thank goodness it’s almost done. Well done my friend. Happy Holidays to you and your family :)

“May receiving convince the doubting heart that love prevails in a world gone mad with greedy taking. May receiving’s pause reflect on what has been given and how that demonstrates love’s proof.” ~ o’hOgain

    Merry Christmas
