Road trip

Written By: Jenn - Jul• 25•10

Well, we’re still on the road, but the trip has been better than expected so far!

The past few days have been quiet since we’ve been with Hubby’s dad and his wife, but prior to that we spent a day kayaking on the Bay of Fundy, whale watching in the Halifax harbor, and parked on a beach at the top of Nova Scotia, where we waded the warm water and looked out at PEI across the water.

The sea kayaking was something I’d never done before, and it was fantastic! The guide took a picture of us on a secluded beach where we stopped for lunch…

Now of course we’re thinking about buying kayaks when we get home! ;)

Whale watching was great, but I forgot my Nikon (ack!!) and the pictures I did get were mediocre…

The beach was fun, and yes, I did get my waterproof camera for my birthday anniversary!

Oh J-B… I took your cooler on vacation. Ours was too big! Hope you don’t mind, but that’s what you get for leaving it at my house :)

Tons of these critters to be found!

Wee One watching for more hermit crabs and starfish to inspect…

…and of course:

Tomorrow we head for Quebec City for some site seeing, the next day to Montreal to do some business, and then home on Wednesday! It’s been a long trip, but not a bad one! :)

  1. Sounds like a wonderful trip to me. I love kayaking and would love to have our own, although we don’t really have the storage for them at the moment. Maybe one day we will get some though, I’d really like to go on a kayaking holiday and travel up the river with our tent and food in the kayaks.

Hope work goes well and have you continue to enjoy other aspects of your trip. ‘See’ you soon, Jade

Oh no!! They’re expensive too… Well, the Nikon batteries last a long time – maybe you’ll be ok for the trip.

Wow! Jenn! Sounds like you’re doing all the thinks we would like to do! Next time could we come with you? :)
You have some pretty pictures of some pretty sea life. I know you miss the big camera.

I should have reminded you to take your camera (Nikon). I did remind Quilly to bring her charger but she must not have had time to read my comment.
We will be spending a week, 24-31 August, in Quebec and Montreal. Take good pictures and see what old people should do. We’ve been to Montreal before.

I love kayaking and I had my very own kayak last month… it is indeed a one of a kind experience. I’m so happy that you have tried kayaking with your family. When I tried it the first time I was a little nervous but eventually I was already a pro.
