Mosaic Monday

Written By: Jenn - Jul• 13•09

This is my submission for Mosaic Monday at Dear Little Red House. These were all taken yesterday (not with this in mind, either) as I experimented with some new macro filters.

There are some lovely mosaics linked today! Go have a look!

I took a couple hundred pictures yesterday, but here are a few that I like that didn’t make it into the mosaic…

I love your mosaic, and as I would interpret it, the background is focused on the pistils which is a great idea. The rose in the middle is floating. Before I forget, you have a very lovely garden, by just showing your photos.

P.S. I read the post below re: missing your baby. I feel the same way too, even though she’s already.

    Thanks again for the visit.

Beautiful! I love using macro to take pictures. Love the way you put your mosaic together as well. And that bee shot is awesome the way you captured his wings!

Beautiful mosaic! The magenta color really makes it all “pop”. Your photo of the bee is amazzzzzzzzzzzing!

  5. Beautiful mosaic! I must admit that I have only recently discovered my camera’s digital macro feature and have spent days photographing the insides of all of my flowers! lol Now I’m asking the neighbors if I can try theirs! Such fun! Have a great week!…Debbie

Thanks everyone – high praise considering what you all came up with!

That isn’t a bee – it’s a tiny hover fly, about 5mm long. I can’t believe it sat still for several pictures, and that I could get as close to it as I did. I was using a macro AND +2 close-up filter for that one. And for the bottom right corner flower so I could get crisper detail. The rest were normal macro.

Glad I found Dear Little Red House – will definitely be back. Hope you all join me for Silly Haiku Wednesday too ;)

Jenn, wonderful photos! There’s such detail. I’ve never seen a “bug” so close before. :)
