Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”
Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week’s theme is: Preparation
Never know, do you?
Prepared for what is coming?
Um… probably not!Just know someone will
Take this topic and giggle…
Preparation H!Ok, even I can be uninspired sometimes… sue me ;)
P.S. I just realized that some of you aren’t going to know what Preparation H is… now you may join our potty-humour crowd and giggle along with us. You’re welcome. ;)
Next week’s theme: Accident(s)
Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List
To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):
Wonderful Haiku’s for preparation.. I love it..
Your comments made me giggle. Somtimes others inspire me when I’m stuck for ideas, a little like passive brainstorming. I enjoyed your haiku. :O)
Finally got you added to the “Hooked On Haiku” list… sometimes I forget to update it!
Who comes up with these prompts,Jenn? Is it some evil gremlin, randomly opening the dictionary and pointing at a word? :-) I’m still struggling to write my Preparation Haiku, and hope to have it posted in a few hours. Others must be struggling too, because not even Thom or Quilly have linked yet! ;-)
Thom is on hiatus for a few weeks, and I think Quilly had some stuff going on too. Might not see her today (hope so though!). J-B is off having a fabulous golf-week in SC with 3 of his buddies, so he won’t be around today either. We’ll see him next week though.
You know, it’s increasingly hard to come up with new prompts! Sometimes J-B and ShaMoo help me out, but most of the time I’m thinking about them as I write mine for the week. Feel free to submit some ideas! Just can’t duplicate what we’ve already used ;) In fact, I’m going to write a post for tomorrow to ask for ideas…
That was so funny. I never even went there until I read your haiku. I’ll keep coming back to the thought all day.
Heehee, you’re welcome ;) I don’t usually have potty humour first and foremost in my mind, but I definitely brain-farted yesterday…
Thom’s on Hiatus remember when I saw the preparation thing I knew if he was playing this week he would a hilarious thing on Hemorrhoids for sure!
OMG, Preparation H??? I laughed like crazy when I read that; love it! Hope you’re having a good one, hon!!
Nice to start the day with a good laugh and a haiku.
This was a tough one me. I am moody but did not feel like writing some mood poem I thought of a wedding.
Melanie
I don’t think Thom’s blogging this month – or I’d bet he’d hit on Prep H!!
LOL Great humor is always good to start a day. Love this haiku. Thanks for the giggles. Have a wonderful day :)
Prepared childbirth, huh?
No way to warn you enough,
For toddlers or teens!

County spelling bee,
Without a coach, out I went –

No preparation is best preparation ;)
Digital Countdown to the preparations have started for the Winter Festival!! :)
