Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”
Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week’s theme is: Direction
Thinking on our life
Where we’re going, where we’ve been
Now… which way from here?Thinking on our group
With so many twists and turns
Yet we’re still so strongThinking on our path
Are we making the right choice?
Only time will tell
Next week’s theme: Preparation
Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List
To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):
I loved all your haiku’s fantastic.. This time mine is a Haiku about Haiku…
–Someone Is Special–
I love the theme you’ve chosen because it has so many twists and turns in it as you’ve said. Excellent haiku. :O)
Nice haikus – indeed only time will tell but hopefully we’ll enjoy the journey too!
Uh, Jenn, how much time has to pass before we can tell? Just wondering… :-)
Not misguided, no
She searches for her own way
blazing trails takes time
long time no see! Glad to have a go at it today. Your prompt spoke a similar way to me as I am making many life changes right now. You are correct: time will only tell if our choices are the right ones.
You wear you heart on your sleeve sometimes Jenn, I know you’ll make the right choice cuz you have people that love you!
Only sometimes? ;) You’re right – I do have people who love me, and that makes me one very lucky gal.
I agree… lucky girl!
It would be so nice if life came with an algorithm so we know what choices to make. I believe that when we make a not-so-good choice, the divine conductor just takes that and makes it into a new symphony.
I will be away till Tuesday with limited Internet access but will do my best to vist as many as I can. Thanks for being a perfect hostess, Jenn.
Awesome haiku today, Jenn!! Great topic too :)
Great job!!

Hi Jenn
Trying to leave a message – third attempt!
My first Haikus on offer – one unconventional and one less so!
:D om
@Dominic: I can’t post a comment on your site because you don’t have name/url enabled, and I don’t have (or want) any of those blogger accounts… can’t see your email address anywhere either. Hope you see this here!
Anyway… I went to your haiku, Dominic. Nice! I can “see” what you’re talking about in my head. Very well done.
Amanda is right; we’re not overly strict with the traditional rules of haiku. It’s more a structure and a suggestion. We write what we feel, and what moves us. We have a wonderful, albeit small, haiku-ing community going here… welcome aboard :)
Lovely story haiku you created :)
And timely for me.
Old routes don’t work now,
No Auto Club maps for this!
Must find my new way.
This haiku keeps me thinking. Wishing you all the best on your choice. Thanks for hosting again. Have a wonderful week :)
Of note……
This blog :”Fruntas sa fii- da sa-ti revii -My ComLuv Profile” is not me. I have had problems before with this person. He is a radio personality not a poet. I have tried to fix this but am unable to change it. I have asked for blogger and google help but none have answered.
I have one blogger blog:
http://cassiopeiarises.com
please take note of this.
Thanks, Melanie
I removed it from your last comment – weird about that, eh? Hope they can get it sorted out for you…
You asked so many good questions in your haiku. I wish i had some of the answers.
I made it! Sensational!
