Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”
Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week’s theme is: Belong(-ing)
It takes just a hand
And your genuine, warm smile
To know I belongLaughing eyes twinkle
Warmth of your arms around me
Contented, sharingTogether, apart
Wherever we seem to be
We are always us
Next week’s theme: Food (you’re welcome, ShaMoo)
Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List
To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):
Well I’ve done sort of a Blog tied to the Haiku. I’m hoping it meets ShaMoo’s approval for blogs entered…. :)
also, and I don’t know why, but you have to hit the ‘calendar date’ to access my entry. Then you have to hit the ‘Title’ to see the entry.. Some day I’ll get the hang of it.. Anyway Good-night all…
Have a joyous week
Knarf. :)
I fixed it :) Great job, Knarf!
It’s always so interesting to see the different perspectives on that one little word. Thanks, Jenn.

I’ve loving the theme interpretations today! Funny how a single word can invoke such passion in people. Also heartwarming to see how a simple form of writing can bring people together. I just adore our haiku circle!!
Okay, first of all, I’m LOVING next week’s theme!! Woohoo….should be a piece of cake (LOL….couldn’t resist). Awesome haiku today, Jenn. If I didn’t know better…..oh, nevermind ;)

Sometimes reaching out
is easier than you think
and should be done more
That’s a great thought!
I love that last line!
Love your challenges.
Could it get any sweeter? If I said that to my husband he would know I was full of it! LOL!
Jenn this is really beautiful, your husband is a lucky guy!
OH, um, yes… my husband. Right. 8D
What? You have a spare guy in your closet?
Heehee :) My husband yes, definitely, but also my group! You know how much I adore them :) We do a lot of hugging!
