Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”
Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week’s theme is: Horizons
What can we find there?
The horizon beckons; calls
Fun to broaden yours!
Next week’s theme: Homecoming
Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List

We got home from our meeting this evening a little earlier than usual. It was great fun! Anyway, not having anything profound prepared on the subject ‘horizon’, I thought I’d try to put a story together. It’s a bit nonsensical but it was fun doing it. I giggled a lot. (doesn’t take much for me…).

I hope you all are having a good summer… Mine has been delicious… ?
OMG, Knarf….I nearly peed my pants reading that. TOO funny!! Nicely done, as always!!
Knarf that was seriously funny! I enjoyed it a lot!
All done. I just might be getting the hang of it. Happy Haiku!
Okay, I have to admit that I was a little stumped with this week’s topic. There’s so many ways I could go with it (and we all know that haiku is not my forte, people!! sigh…..)
[Moved by Jenn to our “collective blog project”: here!]
Have a great week everyone!!
ShaMoo
ShaMoo, I thought it was lovely you did not seem stumped at all.
Thanks, Amanda!!
.
This is nice, Jenn. Any idea of what we can find there? :)
It might be in Montreal or Quebec City!
..
Seriously, Knarf! How did you come up with that?? Hilarious!!
So many ways to take “horizons”!! very fitting. :)
Indeed broadening your horizons is a good thing to do. Hope you are having a good trip and safe journey back!
Wonderful as always Jenn I hope your Summer is going wonderfully!
Our thoughts are pretty similar.
Cheers!

Beautiful haiku, Jenn! Thanks for hosting another fun Sensational Haiku Wednesday. Have a great summer.
Mine for the week.
On to higher heights.
My back aches from this incline.
I hate mountain paths.
Finally, over there –
I see the horizon, and
with it help – at last!
(A work problem is on the way to being solved. Thank heavens!)
I came back to grab your new button. Thank you, Jenn :)
sorry for the late posting… this has been a toxic month for me. =(
you’ve done well on this week’s theme, jenn!
this is my 1st time here
I havent written Haiku for a while,
hope I got it right.
