The basics:

Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is: Flare/Flair*

An artistic bent
Eyes on you, Naturally
Do it with such flair

A flick of the wrist
Fingers dance across the keys
Adept style and grace

Life style and mindset
A gift; know no other way
Panache, wit, and flair

Like a pheromone
Dancing by onlooking eyes
Heady attractant

 

*haha, I’m an idiot. As it was pointed out to me by a bloggy buddy, I used the word “flare” incorrectly, where it should have been “flair”. As a result, I’ve added the different spelling as an option for you. Mostly because I don’t want to rewrite my haiku ;)

You can tell I a) am completely stressed out and tired, and b) wrote my haiku and got the whole thing online in under 5 minutes this morning when I got my internet access back.

~Folks, a quick note about comments: A few of you don’t have Name/URL enabled on your blogs, and I CAN’T comment in that case. Take a moment to enable that, will you? There are other ways to combat spam and still allow people with their own domains to leave their homage to your greatness ;)
