You know… that Blog?

Yes, I do suck.

Written By: Jenn - Apr• 05•10

I work online – both of my businesses mean that I spend vast quantities of time sitting here in this chair, researching, assigning tasks, and wading through scads of email from clients, contractors, and employees.

There are two things I do as a stress reliever whilst I’m doing this stuff… and those are blogging (natch) and Facebook.

What I always, ALWAYS forget to do though, is check my blog email. I really don’t like to use my blog email – I really REALLY like getting comments, but I get enough email otherwise, so don’t think about it for blogging purposes. I realize not too many other people have this foible, so getting blog email isn’t an issue… but I have this mental block about it, and only check that account every so often.

SO, all this boils down to the fact that I have apologies to make. For missed deadlines, seemingly-ignored hails, and requests for things like site help, and guest posting.

Mea Culpa, my friends! I would never willingly ignore you!

I’m catching up (it’s been a couple weeks since last I checked… there are hundreds of emails in there) but will get it all done this week… and I’ll write a note to myself to keep checking it with the rest of my addresses. Maybe even tie a string on a digit. Whatever.

  1. Between blogging, facebook, personal and work emails, who can keep up? I certainly cannot. Have a great Monday!

I can´t help it, I still love mail. Any kind, email, snail mail or fb/blog mail. Then again, mine aren´t hundreds. Hope you sort through it.

The first thing I do is check my email. And then I do my reader. Twitter and Facebook I just post my stuff from my blogs there and leave it be. I don’t even know what possessed me to start up those two accounts. I rarely use them. But I tell you it’s a constant battle to keep up. I don’t know what I would do without my iPhone. I have to keep on it 24/7 it seems like and there are times when hitting the delete button would be so convenient. I guess the long and the short of it is, all we can do and all that others can expect from us is to do what we can do and no more. If it’s not enough, oh well.

Remove the comment forwarding feature from your blog so that the only blog related emails you get are personal, and maybe it will be less of a burden when you do check.

Poor you, Jenn.Hope you are feeling better. Do not get too overwhelmed by it all. Like Thom, I have my first tab on the browser is my email. Fortunately, I do not get a lot of emails as I clear about hundreds a day. LOL.

However I do not like texting, I used to do that way too much. Nowadays, I am retired, so I slowed down.

You take care of yourself, Jenn.

    hugs
