The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This is Zack, Knarf, and ShaMoo’s son Frank #2 on a hike this morning with ShaMoo, J-B and I. Zack is lethal with a stick; for him, size absolutely matters… he likes nothing better than trying to sweep the legs out from under us. He repeatedly barreled through us, stopped to wait until we passed him, and then did it again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Newfoundland. I’d be in bed by now since midnight comes much faster there than here.
The water sparkles.
Sunlight dancing on the waves.
Answering the sky.
“Dance”! Said the outlaw.
Bullets traced the man’s boots.
Dancing came quickly.
Thoughts dance through my mind.
Some perverse but not wicked.
Maybe wascally?
Sparrow seeks a mate.
Dances from branch to another
Did she buy the act?
Divas love to win.
Fingers forever dancing.
Did she get there first?
The keyboard keys hum.
Fingers dance over the board.
Wonder if she won?
But maybe she did.
Does it end there or go on?
Probably dance on.
Knarf, you beat me fair and square!! I was in bed before midnight, for a change, and totally forgot…. There’s always next week ;)

Fast dancing is fine:
Exercise, rhythm, et. al.
But slow dancing, . . . . ah!
Took you to the dance.
Took you straight home from the dance.
That first good night kiss . . . .
You want me to what?
Interpretive dance? Maybe.
Creativity!
