You know… that Blog?

In a Vacation Sort of Mind

Written By: Jenn - Nov• 12•09

I’ve been back home for a couple days, but I really can’t get back into the hectic bustle of day to day life and blogging for some reason! Maybe its due to the fact that I was actually able to relax this time, and my body and mind are rejecting the reintroduction of stress. That has to be it.

Nonetheless, I really felt the need to do a blog post of some sort, just to say HI if nothing else!

Hello :)

We had the best time. Sure, it was only Florida and not somewhere exotic or exciting, but all I really wanted and needed was to sink my toes into warm sand and get rid of this stress that has been plaguing me for so long. It was also the first vacation we’ve had as a family since Wee One was 3 months old, back in January 2005, which made it that much more special. The weather was perfect, the beaches were practically deserted, and the water was warmer than it had been last year. Bliss, truly.

I’ll post some pictures and stories about our vacation in a few days. Promise!

  2. Hi to you too! Glad you are back safely from your holiday and that you had a good time. I am so jealous, I’ve not been to Florida for years and it is exotic and exciting for some of us – I remember the warm Gulf of Mexico, that was so weird! My Mum was paranoid the whole time that we would be eaten by sharks, I think she was super stressed even though we were only paddling.

Glad you got a good chance to relax and chill out, having a break and a change of scenary is really important even if you don’t go far. I’m off to London on holiday next week and I can’t wait, just a week to chill out together will be great.

  3. So hard, the re-entry into reality of daily life. Glad you got to fully relax. Too many vacations fall short this way.

Coming from Massachusetts, Florida was downright tropical to me the first time I visited. I thought the Alligators were “wicked” awesome! Hot humid weather not so much. Also the flatness of the landscape and the straight, grid-like roads really threw me off. I’m used to paved cowpaths. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time, however!

Hi Friend. I am so glad you had a relaxing time. Florida sounds pretty exotic to me. I have only been to Florida once about 15 years ago. We did the whole Disney/Epcot thing. Not too relaxing. I love the photo in your latest post. Is that your oldest?

Hi Annie! Long time no see! I think you were visiting just as I was hitting publish on my latest post so you didn’t see the real details yet! ;) Yes that is the Teen chasing birds on the beach with a huge grin on her face.
