Silly Haiku Wednesday

Welcome to “Silly Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly event!

The basics:

Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is: Time

My submission for this week:

Watch days flying by
Fleeting days of babies grown
A certain sadness

Next week’s theme: Passion – what are you passionate about?

Note: Nothing makes me happier than to see new people getting “hooked on haiku”! Keep it going to make it to the Hooked on Haiku List

To participate in this week’s event, please use the following code in your post on your own blog (if you don’t have a blog, post your Haiku as a comment):

Awwww… I FEEL that! Whenever I’m asked if I “miss” anyone right now, I always say I miss my babies! I used to really WISH that we could have the LAST one stay little forever. But now that they’re all grown… I see that a little differently! :)

As I promised, I tried my best. This is my first entry, not sure it is so called “Haiku”. But I like the theme, “TIME”, What I see in life

It’s fun to see the kids as they become their own people, with quirks and whatnot. :)

Next week’s haikus might be racey! :o

Jenn — sorry I’m late. I’ve been distracted by water woes! Pipes are fixed and we’re “flush” again. ;)

Your haiku has long been every parent’s lament. Too soon grown and gone.

  11. Rachael says:

As a new mom I totally am feeling your haiku right now! I never really realized how fast time flies until I had my baby! Thanks again for hosting such a fun weekly challenge!

    Connected by memories/
    Of a past presence
