Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”
The basics: Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week’s theme is: Fading
A great time writing
Creative juices flowing
Vibrant energy
Words coming harder
Energy lacking, fading
Project completed
Appreciation
Friendships forged, sharing values
Happiness remainsThank you, Haiku-ers
A great few years together
Always to cherish₪ Thanks for a great run, everyone! This was our last Sensational Haiku Wednesday. Interest has waned in recent months, and I don’t have the energy to go hunting for new participants, or chasing past friends to join us again. I have enjoyed our creative energy for the past 208 weeks, and value each and every one of you more than you’ll know! I’m not going anywhere – my blog will continue and hopefully I’ll have more posts up in the near future! Hope you stick around. ₪
I’m sad you won’t be hosting these any longer, even though I haven’t participated much I’ve been following them for a couple years (I even made it on the Hooked on Haiku list with my old blog).
Thank you for hosting this, because of you, not only have I attempted writing haiku more often, I have also found several other blogs to follow, in addition to yours.
Oh I just realized this was last one. I just began to haiku a few months ago. Am sorry this will end. Understand if you have less interest. I know it’s work to maintain. Thank you very much!
It’s so hard to maintain a blog, which is why some friends and I went to a team blog format. This has its hitches too, but it does allow us to be part of something continuous. I’ll be sorry to lose this prompt too. I haven’t always been the participant, but several of my teammates have enjoyed using it as well.
Best,
Dolly
Thank you, Jenn, for hosting for so many weeks. I figured it out — 208 prompts = 4 years … an incredible accomplishment. Thank you for being so gracious with us.
