Wee One and her Daddy snuggled up to watch a movie earlier, and Wee One had an unexpected nap. I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures.

The Teen came home yesterday, to tears and hugs. The most surprising welcome of all was from Wee One, who burst into tears when she saw her sister’s face for the first time as we came out of the airport terminal. I knew she had missed her sister, but the tears were a surprise! Such a tender hearted soul, my Wee One. It was so sweet to see her greet the Teen that I felt melted and teary myself.

Of course, our quiet afternoon is without the Teen, since she was up and off to see her “BFF” as soon as possible this morning. She even put off going out to shop for her new laptop in favour of seeing her!

I’m just so happy she’s home, safe and sound. Her pictures and videos tell many wonderful tales of a very full 6 weeks away from family and friends. Her many new friends have been calling and texting constantly since they all arrived home over the past 24 hours – including one new friend from Calgary who kept trying to text our home phone thinking it was her cell number… until 2am this morning!

And so our happy chaos returns. It’s been a quiet summer up until now, but I’m over it and just too thrilled to have places to shuttle teenagers to, things to buy, and one more warm body to hold tight.
