As I have for the best several weeks, I have a Mosaic Monday post. Unfortunately, I just found out that this week is a week off for the meme! I’ll repost next week.

Thought I’d do something a little simple this week – I wanted the shot in the background to show, and these 3 shots were my favourites. They were taken this past week after yet another bout of rain. There were 3 of these mushrooms, and they were ginormous! Bigger than a soccer ball.

The little fellow had his picture taken the next day. He doesn’t appear too upset about his missing foot – he got a quick sniff and kiss from Sadie (darn it, I missed that shot!) and then was off at full throttle when Wee One tried to grab him to test his princeliness.

A closer look – it has an interesting hole in it – seems to have grown that way:

And then [...]]]> Another rainy day in Southern Ontario – I know, shocker – and in between raindrops I spied a very large white object off in the distance. A ball I thought, but no:

I don’t normally do collages with text on them, but this one required a bit of explanation. I tried to find pictures of my daughters around the same age for a “comparison” collage. The daughter on the left is of course “The Teen”, and the daughter on the right is “Wee One”. In October of this year, they will be 15 and 5 respectively. They missed being exactly 10 years apart by 9 days.

Our dog, Sadie. She’s a 9 year old Australian Shepherd rescue – we are her 5th (and final) home. She came to us when I was pregnant with Wee [...]]]> This is today’s submission for Mosaic Monday at Dear Little Red House. I participated in error last week when it wasn’t a go! (Here’s last week’s mosaic.)

Our dog, Sadie. She’s a 9 year old Australian Shepherd rescue – we are her 5th (and final) home. She came to us when I was pregnant with Wee One, and has been a wonderful addition to our family. We could not have asked for a more patient dog, as you can see from the bottom right of the mosaic!

She loves babies and children, and puts herself between our kids and anyone else who tries to touch them, until she knows they’re “ok”. Sometimes when we horse around at home she gets in between us because she’s afraid we’ll hurt “her” kids! At 70lbs, she has a lot of weight to throw around, and doesn’t mind doing so.

I had so much fun with last week’s that I decided to participate on a regular basis.

These were taken last week, around the same time that the fodder for last week’s collage were taken. I was playing with some fun new filters that I just got and this multi-image filter was pretty cool. One of my favourite subjects is, of course, my Wee One. With the Teen away at camp for the summer, she has my undivided attention, and is soaking it up like a sponge! We had a lot of fun with our photo shoot. Posing is something that she can never get enough of, apparently ;)
