Still too early to take any action, and I really need to wait and see what happens over the course of the next few months. As hard as that is to do!

Their waiver covers their collective arses quite well, but I'm sure there would be something that could be done should I choose to go that route. Moot point right now though, I still need to wait and see what happens.

Thanks for the concern :)

We're just trying the contacts for a week, along with these drops. If it doesn't make a difference, we'll see where we're at come the 6 month mark, which is the earliest another surgery could take place regardless.

It's too soon (doesn't feel like it though!) to take any other direction at this point. I will definitely ask for a different surgeon if I have to have it re-done. I could never put myself in the hands of that same guy again after this.

I am PO-ed. Beyond that actually. This week has been hellish with these contacts in - it has messed up my distance and depth perception, so driving is an issue once more. I can see my monitor slightly better though, and don't need/can't use (?) the reading glasses for my music... at least it's something.

Having patience has never been my forte, so this whole experience has been trying on many many levels.

And the saga continues... stay tuned.

I've heard too many of these horror stories. There is no way I am letting anyone with a laser near my eyes. Does this mean he expects you to wear the contacts full time despite having the surgery??? kinda defeats the purpose. Man, I would be P.O.'d - you handled yourself well and I bet those patients were happy to hear your impression of the practice.

Is there a chance you can go to someone else for the correction. I don't think I'd trust those Bozos at this point.

I meant to leave you a comment yesterday but I have been rather busy.

Jenn, I really think you should DO SOMETHING about this.
Can you not LODGE a VALID COMPLAIN to some CONSUMER ORGANISATION?
The doctor , is he a SPECIALIST? He just told you WHAT WAS DONE WAS A MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE! Can you read the RELEASE that you have signed when you have this done? See if they have done something UNPROFESSIONAL?

I have dealt with a groups of doctors before. These buggers do not scare much EXCEPT when they may loose their LICENSE or LOSING THEIR BUSINESS.

They are HUMAN but if THEY MADE A VALID SURGICAL MISTAKE, you got GROUNDS FOR GRIEVANCES?

You have RIGHTS, don't you?

hugs

See, this is why I am content with my glasses. My allergies rule out contacts and my common sense rules out letting somebody cut up my eyes when glasses can and do correct my vision.
