Hi,

Thank you so much for posting your story.

I've been researching HHT on the internet for months now. My 6 year old daughter was given a diagnosis of HHT in October since she developed telangiectasia on her hands and face this past summer. We believe that our 2 year old daughter will be the same. We're currently waiting for genetic testing and a referral to the Toronto HHT centre of excellence.
It's been very hard watching my daughter's face change the way has done but so far that has been the only symptom of HHT that has developed, thank goodness.

Good luck

Wow. I was just cruising the internet as my dad is about to have 65% of his lung cut away at St. Michael's hospital in Toronto. Last year, Dr. Faughnan and her team attempted to fix the lung by cutting off circulation to 25% of his lung, that seems to have failed. His coils have shifted and are protruding through the airway. Infection has attached to the coil and is bringing blood into the lung and inevitably into the blood stream. So, in they go to cut it away. If that doesn't work, then he'll end up on the donor list for a new lung. I currently, much like yourself have over 40 wonderful platnum coils in my right lung! As for blood transfusions... well my dad gets them two and sometimes three times a week. Me, eh, once a month. LOL! Hope all is going well with you there on your end. Sending you much sisterly love... sisters of a sort anyway.

Wow, feeling the love I hope, ShaMoo!! Our boys are the best. We all feel the same way about you and your kids, which I know you know.

Thank you for the guest post, and for explaining this disorder - I know it wasn't easy, but I think it's important to get the word out so people can understand it. Especially our loved ones, who really had no idea! I even learned a couple things from your post, and we've talked about this all before.

Love ya. And making my readers pee their pants in glee next time? DEAL!
